The principle of SB Conservation, Susan Brown has over 30 years of experience in the art and conservation field. She holds Bachelor of Fine Art degrees (BFA) in painting from the Cooper School of Art and in Sculpture from the Cleveland Institute of Art, both of which are located in Cleveland, Ohio. She is a member of the Western Association for the Conservation of Art and a member of the International Institute for Conservation.

She has studied and worked extensively with Roberta Lapucci at Studio Art Centers International (SACI) in Florence Italy. Lapucci is one of Florence's top restorers. Brown's experience includes workshops at the Brancacci Chapel with the primary conservator and painting curator of the Uffuzu, and with the curator of the Vatican Museum with attention to the alter wall, The Last Judgment of the Sistine Chapel. She had her own restoration studio in Burke, Virginia prior to relocating to Southern California.

Ms. Brown is also a working artist with experience in mixed media, photography, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, painting, and glass. In addition to her art and her extensive restoration and conservation experience, she is also an accredited appraiser through the American Society of Appraisers.

Her variety of skills and experience allow her to expertly evaluate your art collection and recommend a restoration program to suit your budget and schedule.
